Embrace is hiring a Digital Content Creator to help us amplify the voices and lived experiences of mothers and increase the visibility of the Embrace network, the largest growing network of mother-support in South Africa.

We are looking for a sparky, proactive person with strong attention to detail.

 

We are seeking a passionate and driven self-starter to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. If you are committed to social justice, adept at creating impactful multimedia content that resonates with audiences, skilled in crafting powerful stories, and understand how to build community on the various digital channels, this role is for you.

Responsibilities
  • Content Creation: Develop and execute high-quality, engaging content across digital platforms, including social media, blogs, videos, and campaigns, ensuring alignment with Embrace’s mission and values. Use your graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator), video production and editing expertise (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, InShot ActiveCampaign), and photography for content creation and dissemination.
  • Writing & Communication: Produce clear, engaging, and impactful content that resonates with our audience and drives conversation.
  • Visualise data: Simplify complex information using infographics and explainer videos.
  • Community Engagement: Drive meaningful engagements with our online community, raise awareness of key issues affecting mothers, promote actionable solutions, and inspire collective action. Build and maintain relationships with key influencers and like-minded brands in the space.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimisation: Track performance using analytics tools such as Meta Insights and Google Analytics, gather insights, and refine digital strategies to increase reach, engagement, and impact.
  • Social Media Management: Use your expertise with digital platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp, LinkedIn) to grow community and increase engagement.
  • Adaptability & Initiative: Take a proactive, solutions-driven approach to your work, demonstrating the ability to work independently.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with team members and stakeholders, share ideas, provide feedback, and work together to achieve shared goals.
Qualification

A degree or diploma in Digital Media, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field

Experience
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years of proven experience in digital content creation
  • Ability to speak at least one additional South African language (advantageous)
